Yesterday, the makers of the upcoming Netflix film Darlings released La Ilaaj which was received well particularly by the hardcore fans of Arijit Singh.
Today, out of a sudden, the makers have launched the full album from the film which contains just 3 songs. The other two are named Bhasad and Pleaj.
Since the movie is just two days away from getting released, it is pretty obvious that the makers will pour all their energy into promoting the movie which looks highly promising as of now.
The two songs La Ilaaj and Pleaj are from the epic duo of Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj. They have worked together on legendary albums like Omkara, Kaminey, Maachis and more.
But there appears to be a problem.
Vishal Bhardwaj in the 2000s made two great black comedies; namely Kaminey and 7 Khoon Maaf.
The albums had songs like Raat Ke Dhaai Baje, Dhan Te Na, Darling which had contagious lyrics and intoxicating music. They immediately hooked up wi th the audiophiles, which is simply missing from the album of Darlings.
Bhasad is a complete creation of Mellow D who is the singer, composer and lyricist all in one.
But much more can be expected from the other two songs, given the duo they have.
Regardless, the album has been released, and let’s see that even in the future if it can hook the music lovers.
