Get ready for some messy high school universe! The official trailer for the comedy series Davey & Jonesie’s Locker, which is a joint venture between Hulu and Prime Video, has been unveiled by Hulu. It’s prepared for a late March streaming debut. Starring as best friends Davey and Jonesie, respectively, are Veronika Slowikowska and Jaelynn Thora Brooks. The two feel out of place in their high school’s mundane surroundings and among their peers. They go on new adventures after learning that their locker is a portal to a multiverse. Unfortunately, these escapades take place in surreal renditions of their high school, including quirky versions of their peers.
The cast also features Emily Piggford, Nikko Angelo Hinayo, Kevin Lauta Osea, Erika Swayze, and showrunner Evany Rosen as the principal of the school. Dan Beirne plays a crucial part as Mr. Schneider, a disgraced quantum scientist turned physics teacher.
The original show centers on two endearingly strange best friends named Davey and Jonesie, who have always felt out of place among their contemporaries and against the mundane backdrop of their high school lives. They are eager to leave their teenage prison of mediocrity in favor of fresh experiences, so when they find out that their locker is a doorway to the multiverse, they jump at the chance.
But when they only find themselves in strange, parallel versions of their high school, surrounded by eccentric counterparts of their peers, the joke’s on them. Thankfully, these bold and imaginative friends are prepared to make the most of their time away from reality by leaving their imprint on each universe they visit, even if that means selecting an intergalactic catastrophe in the process. The vibrations make it worthwhile.
The voice actor and writer Evany Rosen, who created the TV series “New Eden” and previously wrote for “D.N. Ace,” “Baroness Von Sketch Show,” “Pinecone & Pony,” and “The Spencer Sisters,” is the creator and showrunner of Davey & Jonesie’s Locker. Davey & Jonesie’s Locker by Rosen will be available for streaming on Hulu beginning on March 22, 2024.
