David Tennant (Good Omens), Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones), Henry Lloyd-Hughes (Killing Eve), and Daniel Mays (Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget) have joined Netflix’s movie, “The Thursday Murder Club.” The streamer is collaborating with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment for this project. It is a feature adaptation of Richard Osman’s 2020 novel of the same name.
These fantastic performers join the recently added Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley, Celia Imrie, and Helen Mirren. Chris Columbus (Home Alone and Harry Potter) will serve as the film’s writer and director. He is also co-producing the movie with Jennifer Todd. The filming will commence this month.
Director Chris Columbus’ upcoming project is one of the latest films to be produced through the partnership between Amblin and Netflix. The duo has also announced another film, “Carry-On,” starring Taron Egerton and Jason Bateman.
“The Thursday Murder Club” will be a blend of crime and comedy, revolving around a group of friends residing in a retirement home. They gather to solve murder mysteries for entertainment. However, things turn upside down for them when they become involved in a real murder case. The four key members of the club are Elizabeth (Mirren), Ron (Brosnan), Ibrahim (Kingsley), and Joyce (Imrie). Stay tuned for more updates!
