It’s official!!! Keanu Reeves is set to play the fourth version of Batman in 2022. He will voice the animated version of Batman in the upcoming DC League of Super-Pets. Warner Bros. released a new teaser for the movie which confirmed that Keanu Reeves would be voicing Batman.
It was revealed months ago that Keanu Reeves would be part of the cast of the movie. However, his character in the movie was not revealed. The new teaser for the movie features Batman, voiced by Reeves, and Ace the Bat-Hound, voiced by Kevin Hart. By releasing a teaser focused on Batman, WB might be looking to leverage the buzz around the character due to the recent release of Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
With this confirmation, we are now set to have four different versions of Batman in 2022. Robert Pattinson made his debut as Batman last week. Apart from this, we have Ben Affleck who will reprise his role as the Batman, possibly for the last time, in the upcoming Flash movie. The Flash movie also has an iteration of Batman played by Michael Keaton who will return to wear the cape after 30 years. Keaton is also said to play Batman in the upcoming HBO Max Batgirl movie.
Apart from Keanu Reeves and Kevin Hart, DC League of Super-Pets stars Dwayne Johnson in a central character as Krypo the Super-Dog who is Superman’s (voiced by John Krasinski) pet. It is based on the DC Comics superhero team Legion of Super-Pets. The plot involves Krypto assembling a group of animals for a mission to rescue the Man of Steel and the rest of the Justice League. The film is directed by Jared Stern and has Vanessa Byer, Natasha Lyonne and Diego Luna voicing the other pet animals.
The movie also unites the duo of Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart who have worked together in Central Intelligence and the Jumanji movies.
