The popular Netflix Original series Dead To Me has been officially renewed for a new season. Netflix has announced along with the show-runner, Liz Feldman.
Given the massive critical success and the cliff hanger ending of season 1, it was but inevitable to have a second one. However, we have seen in the past, where similarly received series have been canceled renewal. It could mean the viewership and general interest has been low.
Luckily, in the case of Dead To Me, the cast seems to have got the right acceptance. The characters Jen and Judy played by Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini were instantly appealing to the targeted demographic. It, therefore, doesn’t come as a surprise.
Liz Feldman has further revealed that the second season will take the character arcs of Jen and Judy in a further new direction with in-depth character explorations. The complicated dynamic between the two takes center stage.
The shoot of the second season of Dead To Me will begin soon. The buzz about an early 2020 release has already started, but we have to wait for an official confirmation on that from Netflix.
