If you’re looking for a new comedy to watch, then you must consider Deadloch. This Australian series is a hilarious and heartwarming murder mystery that will keep you entertained from beginning to end.
The series follows two female detectives, Dulcie Collins and Eddie Redcliffe, as they investigate the murder of a local man in the sleepy seaside town of Deadloch. Dulcie is a local cop who is used to working alone, while Eddie is a city detective who is brought in to lead the investigation. The two women are very different, but they must learn to work together to solve the case.
In addition to the mystery, Deadloch is also a very funny show. The characters are all well-developed and the dialogue is sharp and witty. The show also does a great job of capturing the unique flavor of a small Australian town. Interestingly, the overall premise of the show is very serious. The BGM and setting even after remaining serious gives you a blasting dose of laughter.
Mind you they are intentionally funny, you don’t laugh of cringe.
Unfortunately, Prime Video as a whole didn’t promote the show well. Since it is Australian, they didn’t promote it through their main handle let alone advertising it in India. Although the series is available in Hindi, the dubbed audio takes away the humor. Thus, we recommend the original English audio itself.
