‘Deadpool 3’ Release Date Out. Hugh Jackman to Return as Wolverine

In a delightful piece of update for fans who have been eagerly waiting for an info on the third instalment of the superhero movie ‘Deadpool’, it has just been announced that ‘Deadpool 3’ will release on 6th September 2024. Not just that, the fan favourite Marvel character Wolverine and the actor who played it in several films – Hugh Jackman, are also making a comeback to feature alongside the titular protagonist essayed by Ryan Reynolds. Check out the Ryan Reynolds’ ‘Deadpool 3’ announcement video below which also features Hugh Jackman.

After Fox’s acquisition by Disney in 2019, it was reported that ‘Deadpool 3’ would merge into the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the MCU. Some of you might be wondering how Hugh Jackman’s much loved character Wolverine would be brought back from the dead as his last appearance was in James Mangold’s widely acclaimed 2017 movie ‘Logan’, where the character was brutally killed. Since ‘Deadpool 3’ would now take place in the MCU, which is toying with various multiverse themes, it shouldn’t be that difficult to be able to do that now. And in the words of Kevin Feige himself “Anything is possible in the multiverse.”

‘Deadpool 3’ would be helmed by Shawn Levy, who had previously directed Hugh Jackman in ‘Real Steel’, and Ryan Reynolds in ‘Free Guy’ and ‘The Adam Project’. Besides, he has also directed several episodes of Netflix’s wildly popular supernatural horror series ‘Stranger Things’.

Incidentally, Ryan Reynolds had made an appearance as Wade Wilson aka Deadpool in the fourth X-Men movie ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ which featured Hugh Jackman in the lead role. So, now, it would be quite interesting to witness the chemistry between Wolverine and Deadpool in ‘Deadpool 3’. We’re sure you’ll be as excited about the film and their chemistry as we are.
