Marvel fans cannot wait to watch Wade Wilson’s debut in the MCU with Deadpool 3. The upcoming Ryan Reynolds starrer is a sequel to Fox’s Deadpool films and will arrive in theatres next year. However, we do not know whether it will be the last outing of Phase Five or the first outing of Phase Six. We will find out about this soon. But we do know that Deadpool’s actions will affect MCU’s Multiverse in unimaginable ways. How? Let’s find out!
According to some of the latest reports, the Multiverse may reach a “breaking” point in Deadpool 3. Wade Wilson’s regenerative healing ability and exceptional fighting skills make him a real deal. But thanks to his goofy and highly talkative persona, it is impossible to take the guy seriously. Plus, we cannot expect him to think about the repercussions of his actions. He’s not built that way.
Deadpool has done countless crazy and nasty things without thinking for a second, both in comics and movies. And we should expect the same from him in the forthcoming sequel.
We saw Wade utilising Cable’s time-travelling device to save Peter (X-Force) in Deadpool 2’s mid-credits scene. Along the way, he killed Deadpool from X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and Ryan Reynolds right after he finished writing the script of Green Lantern (2011). But most importantly, he saved Vanessa. Wade cannot imagine his existence without her despite his goofy persona and habit of frequently breaking the fourth wall. And he has gone to great lengths to save her from bad guys. But Tony Stark once said, “You mess with time, it tends to mess back.”
Phase Four might have faced the wrath of fans. But it also revealed that people from other realities or dimensions couldn’t stay permanently on Earth-616. This scenario may cause incursion, which may become the very reason behind Earth-616’s destruction.
Deadpool will arrive on Earth-616 at some point, considering he is now an official part of the MCU. And we don’t know how long he will stay on the planet. But the longer he stays on Earth-616, the greater he becomes a threat to the planet and the entire Multiverse. Additionally, we must think about all the major events that occurred in Phase Four. They all somehow ended up affecting the Multiverse.
Deadpool 3, starring Ryan Reynolds, will arrive in theatres in November 2024. Stay tuned for more updates.
