“Deadpool and Wolverine. That feels about right.”
As fans scream their hearts out, Deadpool 3 is now titled “Deadpool and Wolverine” and drops the trailer during the Super Bowl, delivering as expected. Previously, it was said that Deadpool 3 has the potential to change the MCU forever, and as of now, whether literally or figuratively, it might just do that.
The trailer starts with Deadpool celebrating his birthday with all his old friends, quite a wholesome moment. But then we see glimpses of the TVA, shifting the storyline from not so serious to one that might change the course of the storyline.
Also, as the TVA kidnaps him, he’s definitely a part of the MCU timeline now, as TVA finally managed to bring him to this side of the world.
Breaking the fourth wall is bread and butter for him, as he stated ‘something’ isn’t really new for him but it will be new for Disney. Reynolds is told by the TVA (Sadly, we do miss Mobius) that he’s special, raising the stakes high.
Even Deadpool hypes it up by saying how he will change the ‘little’ cinematic universe and mimicking the iconic Iron Man dialogue, Deadpool states ‘I am Marvel Jesus’.
But then we see him getting suited and booted, followed by some action. Then you see the money shot, Deadpool and Wolverine together, though the shot didn’t last for more than a second, it’s clearly Marvel’s intention to save Wolverine for the most part.
And you can definitely expect a lighter side of Wolverine, unlike most of his work in X-Men or Logan.
Deadpool 3 will be epic, by all means. From nostalgia to wit, from the spice of seriousness to the adult jokes of Deadpool, the stakes and expectations are sky-high. Though Deadpool has always been a financial success, this has the potential to exceed it all.
That’s it, the trailer is now waiting for you. Click below and enjoy the ride-
