Marvel is living their gaga phase as the “Deadpool and Wolverine” trailer is bringing some major waves in the world of entertainment. The trailer for the 26th July masterclass is here, and it did give us some major surprises and some great revelations of the plot.
Practically speaking, the trailer was definitely a mouthful, especially with all the Easter eggs, homages, references, and new roles. And with a trailer like this, it is always accompanied by fans’ speculations. From Ant-Man to Dogpool, there was a feast for the fans, but it is the portals at the very end which are drawing some major attention.
See, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has five prominent portal designs as of now. One from the Tesseract, which is like a dark blue mist, another one from the TVA which is a rectangle, orange color, then there is America Chavez and her portal, and in the end, there is Clea’s one, which is mostly a dimensional portal. But in the trailer, we saw a portal open which didn’t have any resemblance with any of these portals.
So, what was it?
It was a portal from a Sling Ring, which you may have noticed is used by Doctor Strange, and in the Spider-Man film, it was used by Ned. The portal at the end of the trailer was almost the same, had the same hue. So does it confirm the return of Doctor Strange?
See, it does give some hints that he might come back, but it doesn’t assure anything as Sling Rings’ powers can be used by a plethora of people. But if it is correct, we might get some hints for the upcoming Secret Wars. This is also leaving the fans hanging, making it a good for of advertisement. But if MCU can actually make Doctor Strange appear, Deadpool and Wolverine will definitely be one of their biggest hits and can easily triumph over Joker’s highest grossing R-Rated film record.
