Dear Ishq, Adapted From Ravinder Singh’s Novel To Stream From This Date

The trailer for a new web serial ‘Dear Ishq’ has been out and it will be premiering on Disney+Hotstar.

Dear Ishq is a love story between a best selling author and an editor. It stars popular tv actor Sehban Azim as the author, Abhimanyu Razdan and Niyati Fatnani as the editor, Asmita Roy. Additional cast includes Kunal Verma, Vikas Grover, Kishwer Merchant, Jyoti B. Banerjee, Puneet Tejwani, Roma Bali, Beena Mukherjee and Buneet Kapoor.

The show is directed by Atif Khan and Produced by Yash Patnaik and Mamta Patnaik under banners of Beyond Dreams Entertainment Private Limited. Dear Ishq will be a hate to love story that will explore the many complications of the relationship between Abhimanyu and Niyati. They are very different from each other but yet the story progresses smoothly towards the development of their chemistry. Abhimanyu is a writer who witnessed success very early in his life and he is high on success and he is kind of egoistic. He seems to be a lot more superficial than he writes, Asmita on the other hand is very emotional and a girl with visible maturity and depth. They meet each other and have a very bad impression of each other at first.

Asmita is a bengali girl with great interest in literature and likes Premchand and Tagore, but she does not at all like what Abhimanyu writes. Abhimanyu threatens her to read his new book that her boss is going to publish or her job will be gone.

The trailer is short and only of almost one minute. The trailer is okayish but nothing special and different from daily soaps. It is expected that the content and storytelling of web serials should be better than tv soaps. Dear Ishq seems to be telling a very cliché story perhaps not so engagingly told.

‘Dear Ishq’ is the web adaptation of Ravinder Singh’s ‘Write Me A Love Story’. It came out in 2021 and was a best selling novel. It can be expected that the fans of Ravinder Singh and the novel will be watching the show. It will come out on the 26th of January and new episodes will come every Monday and Saturday.
