Prime Video India grabbed a jackpot of a film as they announced it back in February. They bagged the streaming rights of Air starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The two buddies are leading the film with Ben Affleck directing it himself.
The film has been getting rave reviews and has opened with a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. So, everything looks positive for the film as of now. It will be released theatrically on the 5th of April.
Interestingly, the film doesn’t seem to be releasing in India. With Prime Video India holding the sole rights in India, it appears that it will be direct to OTT release for Air in India.
But it has been over a month since that announcement and there is simply no follow-up regarding that. Air was coming soon and so it is now, unfortunately without any clarity on the release date.
The theatrical release of the film is nearing soon and there should be a clear release date which is missing till now.
It is not only hampering the much-needed promotion of the film but also keeping people away from the easy access they may get on Prime Video instead of going to the theaters.
