John Abraham-produced film ‘Woh Bhi Din The’ has been languishing in the cans since ten years. The coming-of-age film went into production back in 2013, and was completed soon after. Interestingly, it was called ‘Banana’ then. Waiting for a release since long, Woh Bhi Din The will finally see the light of day, all thanks to the rise of OTT in India.
Hindi film ‘Woh Bhi Din The’ will finally premiere on OTT, on ZEE5 specifically. The OTT release date for Woh Bhi Din The has been set as 29th March on ZEE5. The streaming platform announced the release of the film on its social media handles this afternoon.
Woh Bhi Din The marks the acting debut of current heartthrob, Rohit Saraf – yes, the very same ‘Mismatched’ actor. The delay in the release of the film meant that Rohit Saraf made his debut with another title, having moved on to other acting assignments. Rohit Saraf plays a young high school student, who has a massive crush on a girl.
Sanjana Sanghi plays the young girl, while a chubby Adarsh Gourav plays Rohit Saraf’s friend in Woh Bhi Din The. The film was the next cinematic outing for both Sanjana Sanghi (after Rockstar), and Adarsh Gourav (after My Name Is Khan). If only it had released then, that is.
Sajid Ali, of Laila Majnu fame, made his directorial debut with Woh Bhi Din The. John Abraham and Shoojit Sircar are the producers of the film that centres on forgotten themes of friendship, crushes and school life.
Woh Bhi Din The premieres on ZEE5 on 29th March, 2024.
