Demonte Colony film franchise started back in 2015, by director R. Ajay Gnanamuthu. The movie could not shine on the box office but received a lot of appreciation from the critics as a genius creation in the horror genre. The movie later gained a cult following and a lot of people came ahead and appreciated the movie. Now, Ajay has come up with the sequel for the movie and it is getting a great response from the audience.
The movie has already earned a collection of 25 crores in just six days, by only releasing in Tamil language. The ticket sales were also reduced by the movie being released alongside Thangalaan, which took most of the attention initially. But now, the movie is progressing day by day and is about to be released in Telugu dub as well.
Owing to its huge success, Ajay has announced a new update regarding the franchise. He has confirmed the making of the third part of the movie in near future. Ajay said, “After completion of my next film, I will start working on the third part of Demonte Colony.” As of now, he is working on a TV series with Pooja Hegde. After its completion he will be working on the third installment of the movie.
The second part of the movie came as a great addition to Ajay’s filmography. It is both a prequel and a sequel to the original movie in Ajay’s own words. This will obviously increase the hopes of fans for the third movie that will be released. Owing to the second part’s unexpected success, one can only assume how big the third part is going to be.
