In a recent deal, Legendary Entertainment has signed Denis Villeneuve for its next project ‘Nuclear War: A Scenario’. Villeneuve has worked with the production house for ‘Dune’ and ‘Dune: Messiah’ will be the last part of the epic trilogy. After the completion of ‘Dune: Messiah’, the director and the production house is to start working on ‘Nuclear War’. He will be associated as the screenwriter and producer and might as well direct it.
The non-fiction book deals with the terrifying story of what could happen if the nuclear rules are neglected throughout countries and the nuclear protectors of the world fail to do what they are meant to do. It is written by Annie Jacobson and came out very recently. The book is based on heavy research and interviews of military and civilians.
After ‘Oppenheimer’ sweeped off most of the Oscars this year. It might come as a shock to fans that another big name in contemporary cinema is running for a similar subject. But now is a crazy time and as we all had high hopes for Nolan, we know that Villeneuve will come up with something extraordinary as well. It will be interesting to see if Villeneuve makes it a documentary for a change, or actually changes the narrative style and makes it a riveting movie.
Further details for the movie will be revealed later on. Follow us for new information on the subject.
