Denzel Washington & Fuqua Collaborate To Tell The Story Of Hannibal

Denzel Washington and Antoine Fuqua have announced their upcoming movie that will be coming out on Netflix. They are collaborating again after many successful ventures, for the story of Hannibal. No, not the deadly Hannibal Lecter, but the Carthaginian general who led his army to many historic wins. Denzel Washington has previously worked with filmmaker Fuqua in the very popular ‘Equalizer’ franchise and also in ‘Training Day’.

The first movie ‘The Equalizer’ came out in 2014. And the third one in the series came this year only. All three films were directed by Antoine Fuqua himself. In the films, Washington played the role of an agent named Robert McCall, who fights the Mafia and goes on different adventures to stop vengeful criminals. The actor-director collaboration has worked pretty well with the audiences so far. Fuqua also has many other movies up his sleeves, like ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ and ‘King Arthur’, and they are widely acclaimed.

He has already proved his expertise in making thrilling war movies and historical dramas. He indeed is a very good choice for directing Hannibal’s story. And there is indeed no doubt about Washington’s acting prowess.

With this Netflix movie, a lesser known story will come in front of the public eye. To history enthusiasts, it must be a news to rejoice for. It goes for the fans of Denzel Washington and Antoine Fuqua too.
