D.P- Deserter Pursuit, One of South Korea’s rightfully sensational shows that made waves on Netflix last year is returning with a season 2 and Netflix Korea has shared an update about the same. The show finds its main duo aka Jung Haein and Koo Kya Hwan back in season two while there are few other additions as well.
This is the first time the makers have revealed the cast of it’s second season. The new season will find additions in Ji Jin Hee and Kim Ji Hyun. The show, centred around two army privates who are assigned to capture army deserters, takes a closer and empathetic look at South Korea’s defense training and how the enlistees endure hardships and torture in their camps.
The first season of the show was selected for The New York Times Best International Shows of 2021 following which Netflix officially declared the show’s renewal. The second season is expected to air by the end of 2022 or early 2023. We have our fingers crossed.
