“House of the Dragon” is easily going to be one of the biggest shows in India this year. The value it provides from Game of Thrones is something phenomenal as many viewers turn into watching it. House of the Dragon per se is a great show with phenomenal editing and highly appreciable character growth.
Even in India, the show is a force to be reckoned with. It is popular among the masses and attracts a huge viewership. But what about the Indian masses?
Time and again we have said that the best way to watch or enjoy any particular show is through watching it in original audio with subtitles of your choice.
But let’s be honest. Not everyone is comfortable with the American accent of English and they want to watch a particular film or series in their local language. Usually, the platforms dub foreign content into Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
But are Indian viewers happy with the editing?
Doesn’t look like it. People are severely unhappy with the dubbing in Indian languages as it alters the meaning and fails to convey the same meaning. Translation is a very complex thing and it is impossible to satisfy everyone with that. But voice-over artists can take the burden of creating a good experience. Looks like people are failing to feel good about the dubbing of House Of The Dragon Indian dubbing.

They just changed the subtitles into Telugu and used them in dubbing version
The telugu dialogue meanings are different from English version
Even Telugu people will confuse
Worst ra @JioCinema
Dubbing of #HOTD in telugu is too worst. The actual meaning of the scenes and the emotions of the scenes doesn't convinced well. There are some particular scenes which are meaningless. Please look in to it@HouseofDragon @HBO @JioCinema

It's good you've dubbed in many languages but where's the quality?
