The Despicable Me series is having a fantastic week on Netflix worldwide in the top 10, which is encouraging for Despicable Me 4’s box office chances.
While we wait for Despicable Me 4, Netflix is dominated by the Despicable Me franchise. Despicable Me, which debuted in 2010, narrates the tale of supervillain Gru, whose crazed heart softens after he takes in three young girls. The highly popular Despicable Me franchise is currently set to release Despicable Me 4 on July 5 of this year.
Currently, several Despicable Me movies appear in the top 10 worldwide Netflix releases. During the week of February 5–February 11, Minions, Despicable Me, Despicable Me 2, and Despicable Me 3 all made it onto the Netflix global top 10. First place went to Despicable Me 3, which had 15.9 million views. Despicable Me 2 at number five (9.1 million views), Minions at number four (9.6 million views), and Despicable Me at number six (7.3 million views) joined it.
With Despicable Me 4 quickly approaching, this is fantastic news for the franchise. Although Minions: The Rise of Gru was released in 2022, the main plot of the franchise has not been continued in a film since Despicable Me 3 was released in 2017. For Despicable Me 4, there are advantages and disadvantages to the fact that viewers will have to wait seven years to find out what happens to Gru and his family.
