Prime Video is currently experiencing a period of turbulence, despite being ahead of most competition in the OTT industry and offering great titles for the Indian audience. However, the recent event missed something major: the release date of their biggest possession.
While Prime Video hopes the event will keep fans engaged, the reality is far from it. A quick look at Twitter reveals the general mood, with fans strongly rooting for announcements of their favorite shows, including Panchayat Season 3 and Mirzapur Season 3.
On Twitter, Prime Video informed fans that they are streaming titles like “Anatomy of a Fall” and “Ae Watan Mere Watan,” but it’s far from what the fans actually want.
Prime Video definitely missed a big opportunity to engage with fans during the event. For the sake of argument, it even felt like a clickbait event. In the Indian market, Netflix has observed a tremendous rise, putting Prime Video in a challenging position.
In January, Prime Video mistakenly announced the release date of Panchayat Season 3 for the same month, but it’s nowhere to be found. Users are lamenting the drought of great content, but it seems the platform has decided to torment us further.
