Deva is a remake and just to maintain some sort of authenticity, the makers decided to retain the director of the original. Little did he know that his own film would turn out to be an insult to his original. Deva is undoubtedly a sub-par inferior film and there is practically nothing good in the film except Shahid Kapoor. The actor has nailed his role like he usually does and the director could not bring us anything good.
Instantly the film was rejected on the big screens. Guess what, people trolled the movie on the OTT release as well. We even covered the report. But, looks like it did not have any impact at all.
The views of the film are remarkable. It earned quite a lot of watch hours so much so that it was the second most-watched non-English film on Netflix last week. Mind you we are talking about the global dynamics where the film stood out.
Quite naturally, that is all the filmmakers would have wanted. Yes, it was trolled after the OTT release but at least it earned views and that is all that matters at the end of the day. Anyway, stay tuned to Binged for more interesting tales from the OTT industry.
