‘Devil’ Prime Video India’s Unfunny Prank With Kannada & Malayalam Fans

It is indeed true that Prime Video managed to captivate the entirety of India with its magic, but from the second half of 2023, Prime Video appears uneasy. Now, they aren’t delivering on their promises, causing discomfort due to the manner of the platform.

Prime Video is pulling off pranks, but it’s neither April Fools’ Day nor are the users loving it.

The controversy, or let’s label it as a ‘mistake,’ revolves around the new Prime Video acquisition, Devil, a film that received positive reviews from critics and fans. Starring faces such as Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Samyuktha Menon, and Edward Sonnenblick, the film created a massive buzz.

Prime Video, with their poster, announced that Devil: The British Secret Agent is currently streaming on their platform and is providing four languages — Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, along with English subtitles — taking care of the entire southern part of India.

However, this doesn’t match on the platform.

On the platform, the movie can only be streamed with Tamil and Telugu audio, skipping the promised Malayalam and Kannada audience. Not even providing captions in those languages seems a bit harsh on the audience.

Prime did recently commit a mistake, somewhat similar in magnitude, as they played games with the release date of Panchayat Season 3, which is still hanging in uncertainty. They announced one date on Twitter, but it seems the black hole ate it up.
