‘Dexter: Original Sin’ Adds 4 New Cast Members, Production Begins

‘Dexter: Original Sin’ has found four new cast members. They will be seen alongside the show’s lead, Patrick Gibson, who has taken over the titular serial killer role to portray his younger years. Michael C. Hall portrayed the protagonist in the original Dexter series (2006 – 2013).

Four new members of the prequel series are James Martinez (‘House of Cards’ and ‘Love, Victor’), Christina Milian (‘Falling Inn Love’), Alex Shimizu (‘The Terror’ and ‘The Blacklist’), and Reno Wilson (‘Bel-Air’). These four will star alongside Patrick Gibson, Molly Brown, and Christian Slater.

Martinex will portray Angel Batista (originally played by David Zayas), a skilled homicide detective who is known for his passion for his work. Shimizu will play Vince Masuka (C. S. Lee), a forensic analyst who enjoys sharing his knowledge with his new intern, Dexter Morgan. Milian portrays Maria LaGuerta (Luna Lauren Velez), the first-ever female homicide detective of Miami Metro. At last, we have Wilson, who will be seen portraying a completely new character, Bobby Watt, the confidant and longtime partner of Dexter’s dad (played by Christian Slater). Molly Brown stars as the protagonist’s sister, Debra Morgan.

‘Dexter: Original Sin’ will have 10 episodes. It will take place 15 years before the events of the original series. Clyde Phillips will executively produce the show, which is being co-produced by Counterpart Studios and Showtime Studios. Stay tuned for more updates.
