The much loved brother-duo Dhanush and Selvaraghavan are back after more than a decade! Their upcoming venture ‘Naane Varuven’ was announced long back by the makers and shooting was to start in August. However, post the delay, it has now been officially confirmed that the filming starts today, 16th October. Dhanush is reportedly playing a dual role, of both the protagonist and the antagonist in ‘Naane Varuven’ that also stars Indhuja Ravichandran (of ‘Bigil’ fame) as the female lead.
The poster of ‘Naane Varuven’ released today along with the filming update shows Dhanush in the look of a hunter and it has immediately sent fans into a tizzy, desperately waiting for further updates regarding the film. The poster released yesterday by the director showed a pair of sunglasses on a snow-capped peak and according to reports, the film will be completed in a short span of a few months. The first schedule kicks off today in Chennai itself and will reportedly be a majority of the filming portions.
Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, the Selvaraghavan directorial, ‘Naane Varuven’ has a music score by the talented Yuvan Shankar Raja and is touted to be a psychological thriller. It is worth mentioning that Selvaraghavan has been instrumental in cementing Dhanush’s place in Tamil cinema. It is the characters of his films in the early years of his career, that made Dhanush a household name. The siblings have worked together in films like ‘Thulluvadho Ilamai’, that also marked Dhanush’s debut, the dark films ‘Kaadhal Kondein’ and ‘Mayakkam Enna’ and the gangster saga, ‘Pudhupettai’, that is all set to get a sequel soon.
