The first look of Dhanush’s next directorial venture ‘Idly Kadai’ is here and he dons the look of a common Indian man devoted to his family. ‘Idly Kadai’ is Dhanush’s 52nd film in lead role and his fourth film as a director and is set to release in theatres on 10th April, 2025.
The fans have been treated with not one but two first look posters of Dhanush from ‘Idly Kadai’. In the first poster he is seen in a traditional attire of a shirt over a lungi with cotton stole around his neck. He holds a bag of groceries in one hand and two big tiffins in the other. But it’s the expression of sublime happiness on his face that catches attention.
In the second poster Dhanush, in a pant and shirt, is seen standing beside a father like figure informer of a village style house. This look differs from the first one and appears to be from his younger days in the film.
Overall the posters have a rustic, rural touch that display the simplicity of his character from ‘Idly Kadai’. Details of the plot have been kept under wraps for now.
‘Idly Kadai’ stars Dhanush, Nithya Menon, Shalini Pandey, Arun Vijay, Prakash Raj and Samuthirakani in prominent roles.
‘Idly Kadai’ is Dhanush’s fourth film as a director and the second in which he stars in the lead role after the recent blockbuster ‘Raayan’. His first directorial venture was the 2017 film ‘Pa Paandi’ which too had received both critical and commercial success. In addition to ‘Idly Kadai’, Dhanush is also directing upcoming Tamil romantic comedy film ‘Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam’.
GV Prakash Kumar has composed music for ‘Idly Kadai’ with cinematography by Kiran Koushik and editing from Prasanna GK. Dhanush is also producing the film alongside Aakash Baskaran. A Red Giant Movies, Dawn Pictures and Wunderbar Films production, ‘Idly Kadai’ will make its way to the theatres on 10th April, 2025.
