After dropping interesting and fun character reveal posters a few days ago, Dhanush’s next ‘Thriuchitrambalam’ has now got a release date. Helmed by Mithran Jawahar, ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ is all set to hit the theatres on 18th August, 2022.
The release date was announced with a new motion poster featuring Dhanush in a dance posture pointing toward the night sky with musical symbols around him. He is seen standing in the midst of a city street with high rise buildings in the background.
Revealing the release date and motion poster on social media Sun Pictures wrote,

‘Thiruchitrambalam’ is a Tamil language musical comedy drama directed by Mithran Jawahar (‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini’, ‘Kutty’, ‘Uthamaputhiran’) who was co-written the film with Varsha Bharath and Shreyas Srinivasan.
The film stars Dhanush in the titular role, Raashi Khanna as Thiruchitrambalam’s high school classmate Anusha, Nithya Menen as Thiruchitrambalam’s best friend Shobana, Priya Bhavani Shankar as Ranjani, Prakash Raj as inspector Neelakandan Dhan and Bharathiraja as senior Thiruchitrambalam among others.
‘Thiruchitrambalam’ marks Dhanush’s 44th film in the lead role and is produced by Kalanithi Maran under his Sun Pictures banner. Anirudh Ravichander (‘Master’, ‘Vikram’, ‘Beast’, ‘Don’) has composed music and original score for the film. Om Prakash is the cinematographer of the film while editing is done by Prasanna GK.
As per reports post theatrical streaming rights of ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ have been acquired by Sun NXT and Netflix. ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ will release in cinemas on 18th August, 2022.
