Two mega production houses of the country, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Viacom 18 Studios, have joined hands to bring a wide range of latest blockbuster movies for global audiences.
The banners took to social media to announce this grand partnership. Karan Johar shared a photo with Apoorva Mehta and Ajit Andhare and wrote, “It’s time to usher in new & fresh stories and pave way to an exhilarating time for Indian cinema! Under this collaboration, the two banners are set to bring an eclectic range of films to entertain audiences world over by ushering in the next wave of blockbuster entertainment.
The four films that will be made under this deal are Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ starring Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi; Raj Mehta’s ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ featuring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani; Shakun Batra’s yet to be titled film with Deepika Padukone, Ananya Pandey, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa; and finally Shashank Khaitan’s next starring Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Padnekar in the lead.
All of these movies with big names in it are highly awaited and the latest update has raised the excitement for them even more. This huge deal is a definite big boost to the industry currently reeling under tremendous pressure because of the ongoing pandemic.
