Did ‘Hello Mummy’ Meet Its Expectations?

The anticipated movie from the Malayalam industry is all on today’s big screens with a satiable audience influx. What can be its impact on the box office?

‘Hello Mummy’ is expected to be a horror cum family comedy-drama directed by Vaishakh Elans and produced by Jobin Mathew, Aibin Thomas, and Rahul E S for Hangover Films, where Sanjo Joseph penned the story, screenplay as well as dialogues for the film.

As per the credible responses, the movie has an average first half followed by a flat second half, which has nothing notable.

The narrative attempts to bring an experimental effort, but the screenplay and characterization are not up to the mark. Also, the expected performances are below average.

The technical labour includes the brilliant team with the handling of cinematography by Praveen Kumar, editing by Chaman Chacko, and music as well as background scores by Jakes Bejoy respectively.

Despite the hopeful names in the technical wing, none of them couldn’t make a remarkable impact on the flick, and there was no relevant space for them to do something efficient with the effort.

Performances from actors were exaggerated and tiresome due to the repetition in the way of storytelling and lack of ability to convince the purpose.

However, actor Sunny Hinduja was looking apt for the character albeit not having a solid characterisation and scope of performance.

The movie features an ensemble cast consisting of actors Sharaf U Dheen and Aishwarya Lakshmi in the lead roles alongside actors Jagadish, Johny Antony, Aju Varghese, Bindhu Panicker and Arun playing important roles in the film.

Moreover, the film can be a one-time theatrical entertainer with a novel approach tried to preserve in an old container.
