Nagarjuna Akkineni’s The Ghost started streaming on Netflix India on the 2nd of November. The movie was bashed badly in the theaters by audiences and critics alike but something better was anticipated from the digital release.
Initially, the film was available only in Tamil audio along with the original Telugu. Later on, Netflix added Hindi and Malayalam audio which is also gaining some amount of traction. If we talk about India then the Hindi audio of the film was watched much more than the Tamil version.
But still. Can we really say that Nagarjuna Akkineni’s The Ghost is finally getting the views that were due in the theaters?
No, we can’t really say that. Because the rankings in the chart don’t reveal anything substantial. The watch hours are the real stuff that tells us how a film/series is received.
But before we begin, let’s have a look at the chart we are talking about.
Interestingly The Ghost is the only Indian film on the list and sadly, it is at the bottom position.
The watch hours are pathetic and given no other Indian release last week, the film managed to earn over 2,500,000 hours of views.
But for the first week, for a run of 5 days, and a star as prominent as Nagarjuna Akkineni, the views are too less.
