Zee5 is on a success spree these days. They are leaps and bounds more successful than they were in 2021 and there are many factors behind it.
One of the biggest among them is the newly created subscriber base due to films like The Kashmir Files and RRR which are phenomenal successes, to say the least.
We even shared their recently released web series “The Broken News” viewing stats. The Sonali Bendre starrer web series garnered 100+ million streaming minutes which is unprecedented for the platform.
Now, Zee5 has launched the viewing stats of their recently released original thriller “Forensic“.
The film is a remake of a Malayalam movie which stars Vikrant Massey, Radhika Apte and Prachi Desai in titular roles.
According to data published by Zee5, the film earned 60+ Million streaming minutes in the opening weekend itself.
But when you compare it to what films on Netflix reap in their opening weekend then the number is too insignificant.
So the bigger question is, “Is Forensic really a hit on Zee5 as claimed?”
The answer is “Absolutely Yes”.
The subscriber base of Zee5 is too small in comparison to Netflix, Prime Video or let alone Disney+Hotstar for that matter. So while comparing, we must keep in mind the individuality of Zee5.
So we may say that Forensic is a hit but it was pretty obvious. The film is a thriller and the marketing was done better than what Zee5 usually did.
