No platform takes their series as granted as Prime Video. No doubt they are home to some of the best and most popular series in India, an effective marketing strategy is still needed nonetheless.
Prime Video always ignores the same fact and takes their subscriber base for granted. It is true that they are second only to Disney+Hotstar in terms of subscriber count but still there is a gap of more than 25 million subscribers.
This time, Prime Video slayed their highly popular sitcom Mind The Malhotras which was an exceptional hit on the platform. The first season aired in 2019 and in no time, the urban story took the platform by storm.
But it is absolutely insane that Prime Video just invested two days of promotion into the series. And within the two days, just two promotional posts were there on their platform.
On 10th August, they announced the series saying it would stream from 12th August. They also released the trailer of the sitcom but didn’t bother to tweet it from their handle.
Yes, it’s strange but true.
Also, the second post was a mere streaming update which is posted by so many independent handles including Binged as well.
As a result, there is only one audience reaction to the series and it is a clear indication of the disastrous effect of ignorance. Yes, only one user bothered to tweet about the show out of millions of subscribers there are. Thankfully, the review he posted is positive.
