Digital Streaming Rights of ‘Kushi’ Bagged By This OTT Platform

After a spate of delays, the eagerly anticipated Telugu language romantic comedy movie ‘Kushi’ has finally been released in theatres today in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. The film features Vijay Deverakonda and Samntha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles and is directed by Shiva Nirvana.

As per the latest update, it has been revealed that the digital streaming rights for ‘Kushi’ have been bagged by the Netflix OTT platform. The movie will make its OTT premiere after completing its theatrical run and the exact streaming release date would depend on the film’s box-office performance. So, stay tuned for that.

Set amidst the picturesque backdrop of Kashmir, the underlying premise of ‘Kushi’ follows the story of a man named Viplav (played by Vijay Deverakonda), who falls in love with Aradhya (played by Samntha Ruth Prabhu). But the problem is that their fathers do not like each other at all. So, Viplav and Aradhya decide to get married against their fathers’ wishes. But their married life suffers an unexpected setback and how they deal with it ostensibly forms the film’s crux.

‘Kushi’ is an important film for both its lead actors Vijay Deverakonda and Samntha Ruth Prabhu because their recent films (Liger and Shakuntalam respectively) didn’t work very well at the box office. As per the film’s early feedback, it has mostly received a positive response, especially the lead pair’s on-screen chemistry and performances. Let’s see whether the positive word of mouth spreads further and if more people flock to the theatres to watch ‘Kushi’ on the big screen.
