Imtiaz Ali’s Next Project in Trouble

Director Imtiaz Ali, who is yet to decide if he’s going to make the Madhubala biopic for the web or the big screen, has already faced a roadblock before the project could go on floors. Madhubala’s sister Kaniz Bulsar has sent a lawyer’s to note to the filmmaker and her other sister (Madhur Brij Bhushan) conveying her objection for the biopic to be made on Madhubala.

This has turned out to be a major issue for the filmmaker who cannot make the film until he takes permissions from all the relatives of Madhubala. The complainant, in this case, particularly feels that there are certain stories of the actress that the family wouldn’t want to bring into the public light.

Similarly, Gautham Menon’s Queen web series based on Jayalalithaa also has been in trouble after the nephew of the politician Deepak had expressed his dissatisfaction about the content being produced without his NOC. Will there be any way out in either of the series? Only time shall tell.
