Disney+ ‘Disenchanted’ Gets a New Release Date!

One of the most awaited Disney+ releases this year, the musical fantasy romantic comedy film ‘Disenchanted‘ to release on the streaming platform worldwide a week earlier. The film was earlier scheduled for a thanksgiving release, ie November 24th , but Disney had other plans. The official sequel to the 2007 film ‘Enchanted‘ will now start streaming on Disney+ from November 18th.

Disney made the official announcement regarding the change in release date with a fresh poster.

The news regarding Disenchanted’s release date being preponed received unanimous love and appreciation from fans and everyone excited for the film.

Disenchanted follows its story Ten years later Giselle, Robert and Morgan’s happily ever after. They move from Manhattan to a new house in the suburb of Monroeville. The community is overseen by Malvina Monroe, who seems to have ill intentions for the family. When problems arise, Giselle uses her magic wand to wish for a perfect fairy tale life. However, the spell backfires and everything goes kaput. Giselle now has to rush to save her family and her homeland of Andalasia before the clock strikes midnight.

Disenchanted is directed by Adam Shankman and the screenplay is written by Brigitte Hales. Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Idina Menzel reprise their roles from the first film, with Gabriella Baldacchino replacing Rachel Covey. The principal cast is joined by newcomers Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, Oscar Nunez and Griffin Newman. Disenchanted is all set to arrive on Disney+ and Disney+Hotstar (India) on November 18th. Stay tuned for more updates.
