Disney+ Echo: Check Out What Happens To Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin

Vincent D’Onofrio is set to reprise his iconic villainous role of Kingpin in the upcoming Disney+ Echo series. The latest report from Daredevil Updates has given an intriguing update about the actor’s character in the show. Kingpin may have a brutal eye wound in the forthcoming MCU instalment.

Daredevil Updates, a Twitter account with a proven track record of sharing accurate MCU-related updates, has revealed that the trailer of Echo recently premiered at Disney Upfront 23 event, culminating with a shot of Kingpin unveiling his brutally wounded eye. This update does not come as a surprise for MCU fans who watched the finale of the Hawkeye Disney+ series starring Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld. During the show’s final moments, we saw Maya, aka Echo, shooting Kingpin at point-blank range. The latter must have survived that gunshot but ended up disfiguring his face. D’onofrio or Marvel Studios are yet to comment on this scenario.

Although, D’Onofrio has confirmed that Echo will lay the foundation for Daredevil: Born Again, starring Charlie Cox as the Man Without Fear. “It’s, like, full-on in the last few episodes of [Echo],” he disclosed. “It’s going to be quite something. And that leads into, of course, Born Again.”

Echo setting the stage for Born Again makes sense, as the latter is one of the most-anticipated MCU outings among fans. The events of Echo will set the tone of Born Again, helping the overall MCU continuity. Additionally, Cox will reprise his role of The Devil of the Hell’s Kitchen in the Echo series. However, the exact nature of his role in the Alaqua Cox starrer is yet to be explored. Will he have a full-fledged role or a cameo appearance in Echo? Well, we have to wait till November 29 to find out. For Indian viewers, the series will stream on Disney+ Hotstar. Stay tuned for more updates.
