The trio of Disney, Warner Bros Discovery, and Fox is all set to release their joint sports streaming service – Venu Sports. The platform received its new name and logo on Thursday and is on track to come out this fall in the United States.
Venu Sports will collectively provide the companies’ portfolio of sports networks and some particular D2C services in a compelling manner. The mentioned companies announced their highly publicised partnership back in February this year, with an aim to provide the latest streaming bundle to reach those consumers who do not like paying a premium to watch TV.
Pete Distad has been elected as the CEO of the forthcoming streaming bundle. He is best known for his work at Apple, and he recently took care of operations, business, and global distribution for the Apple TV+ streaming platform.
Venu Sports will serve as a blend of ESPN+ and other linear TV networks from the three companies, such as ABC, ESPN, ESPNU, ESPN2, ACCN, Fox, FS1, FS2, TNT, TBS, SECN, Big Ten Network, and truTV). No launch date or pricing structure has been announced yet. It will be available directly to customers via its new upcoming app. Stay tuned for more updates.
