Disney Plus Hotstar has just revealed the first full-fledged trailer for its much awaited new original series, ‘Lootere’. The series will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on 22nd March, 2024.
The ‘Lootere’ trailer gives us ample hint of the plot and characters in the series. Set in the backdrop of the notoriously sea pirates-infested waters surrounding Africa, the creators have woven a compelling story around the issue. The corrupt port director of Mogadishu port passes off crucial information to Somalian pirates, who capture a ship containing a sensitive and valuable consignment. Soon, the story turns into a survival thriller of sorts, amping up the excitement.
Vivek Gomber plays the corrupt officer while Rajat Kapoor portrays the captain of the beleaguered ship. Besides Vivek Gomber and Rajat Kapoor, Lootere stars Gaurav Sharma, Tuks Tad Lungu, Nareshh Mallik, and Amruta Khanvilkar.
The series comes from stellar director Hansal Mehta, who is the showrunner of Lootere. Jai Mehta is helming ‘Lootere’. The screenplay is by Jai Mehta, Vishal Kapoor, Suparn Varma, and Vaibhav Vishal. Shaailesh R Singh’s Karma Media And Entertainment is producing it.
