Disney+ Hotstar Show Human Gets a Compelling Trailer & a Release Date

Last week, Disney+ Hotstar had revealed a first look teaser for its upcoming web series ‘Human’ featuring proficient performer Shefali Shah in a never-seen-before mysterious avatar of a doctor. The intriguing teaser promised ample doses of thriller, drama, and murder mystery elements for the forthcoming web series. The teaser was followed by the release of an equally fascinating poster, yesterday.

And now, finally, OTT giant Disney+ Hotstar has dropped the official trailer for the eagerly anticipated web series ‘Human’. ‘Human’ is scheduled to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from 14th January 2022.

The trailer starts off with a narrative voice explaining the testing of any new drug for its effectiveness on subjects before its market launch. Thereafter, we are introduced to Shefali Shah’s character Dr.Gauri Nath, who is described as a legendary and selfless doctor. The surgeon heads an organization called Manthan.

The subsequent frames introduce Dr.Gauri’s protégé Saira Sabharwal played by Kirti Kulhari. The goings-on take a serious turn when human trials apparently related to a heart disease miracle drug called S-93R enter the proceedings. The two-minute ‘Human’ trailer is gripping from the word go.

‘Human’, which was being touted as Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s dream project, is a web series that belongs to the medical thriller genre and is ostensibly based on the scarcely touched-upon subject of human drug trials. The show has been directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah alongside Mozez Singh. Besides Shefali Shah, the web series also features an ensemble cast that includes Kirti Kulhari, Ram Kapoor, Seem Biswas, Aditya Srivastava, and Mohan Agashe, amongst others.

Considering the scarcity of content in the medical thriller sub-genre in India and even globally, it would be quite interesting how ‘Human’ eventually turns out to be. But with Vipul Shah (Director – Aankhen, Waqt, Namastey London) at the helm and Shefali Shah in the lead, our hopes are certainly high for this one.
