Disney+ Hotstar has announced the release date for its upcoming crime action Korean series ‘Big Bet’. Helmed by Kang Yoon-sung (‘The Outlaws’), ‘Big Bet’ will start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from 21st December, 2022.
Formerly known as ‘King of Savvy’, ‘Big Bet’ tells the story of a man, once dubbed the king of the casino, who lost his everything in an unfortunate series of events. He returns to the gambling scene, this time betting his life.
‘Big Bet’ on Disney+ Hotstar stars veteran South Korean actor Choi Min-sik in the lead role. Having appeared in films like ‘Roaring Currents’, ‘Oldboy’, ‘I Saw The Devil’ and more, Choi is returning to television after more than two and a half decades. The series also stars Son Seok-koo (‘My Liberation Notes’, ‘D.P.’), Heo Sung-tae (‘The Age of Shadows’) and Lee Dong-hwi (‘Pegasus Market’, ‘Reply 1988’).
Written and directed by Kang Yoon-sung, ‘Big Bet’ will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on 21st December, 2022.
