Disney+ Hotstar has been revving up its content with some unique and buzzy titles that have managed to create a certain hype within the audience. According to sources Hotstar has another web series called “kingmaker’ in the making and has roped in some power-packed performers to get things started.
‘Kingmaker’ is said to be a series that focuses on power and position yet there is very little detail about the entire storyline. All we know for now is that they have managed to rope in an ensemble cast for this venture.
Tara Alisha Berry, Madhurima Roy, Soundharya Sharma, Satyadeep Mishra, Ashit Chatterjee, Nitin Mirani, Anjana Sukhani, Pranay Pachauri, Rituraj Singh, and Ankit Bisht are all set to feature in ‘Kingmaker’.
Satyadeep Mishra has also worked in series such as Thinkistan and Naxalbari for which he received a lot of praise. Rituraj Singh has played those intense roles with poise on several occasions and it looks like there is something special brewing with ‘Kingmaker’.
There hasn’t been any official statement yet and things are still very lowkey but if this thing does take off then it would surely be a big spectacle. Many of the local platforms have announced a lot of originals slated for this year as they have been in an attempt to ramp up their reservoir of content.
The pandemic has forced the entire entertainment industry to pivot towards a different means of providing the audience with entertainment and the OTT platforms have become the perfect medium for it, especially when things are so volatile right now.
