The Star Wars franchise sensation ‘Mandalorian’ needs no introduction. After garnering widespread audience love and acclaim for the last two seasons, the series finally has a date locked for its third season. Although earlier a February 2023 debut was speculated, the makers have officially announced Mandalorian Season 3 Premiere on March 1st, 2023 on Disney+ and its sister platforms like Disney+Hotstar in India.
The official announcement came from Mandalorian’s official Twitter account during the Brazil Comic Con.
The third season picks up from the events following mini-series “The Book of Boba Fett,” where “Mandalorian” lead Din Djarin lastly reunited with Grogu. The two were shown to depart from Tatooine and Mando heading to Mandalore to become a Mandalorian again. A teaser released in the month of September showcased Mando fighting several armed warriors. The teaser also suggested at a conflict between Mando and Bo-Katan Kryze over the leadership of the remnants of the Mandalorian people.
As far as the casting is concerned, Christopher Lloyd is making a cameo in the third season of Mandalorian. Besides, there is official confirmation that alongside Pedro Pascal, Emily Swallow and Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Paul Sun-hyung, Omid Abtahi and Amy Sedaris would be making their way back in the third season of the fan-favourite series.
