Disney Plus Drops New KDrama ‘Crash’ Release Date, Teaser

Streaming giant Disney Plus is all geared up to release its next Korean series on its platform worldwide. The new series is titled ‘Crash’, and it is set in the backdrop of the dangerous reality of traffic crime. Disney Plus has just dropped the first teaser and release date for ‘Crash’. Korean series ‘Crash’ premieres on Disney Plus on 13th May, 2024. In India, ‘Crash’ will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar, on the same day.

The series will stream in the two-episodes per week format, as most Korean series prefer to air. One new episode will stream on Disney Plus and Disney Plus Hotstar every Monday and Tuesday, starting from 13th May, which is Monday.

Korean crime drama ‘Crash’ comes from exciting director Park Joon-woo, who’s earlier helmed the popular series ‘Taxi Driver’. It is written by Oh Soo-jin, and stars Lee Min-ki, Kwak Sun-young, Heo Sung-tae, Lee Ho-chul, and Moon Hee in pivotal roles.

The story of ‘Crash’ follows young detective Cha Yeon-Ho (Lee Min-Ki), who is transferred to the TCI (Traffic Crime Investigation) team. He has a sharp analytical mind, and has studied mathematics from the top university in Korea. He has a special ability to simulate the time of an accident, using his sharp analysis and reasoning abilities. But his traffic crime-fighting endeavors are hampered by two things – his lack of social skills and the fact that he is unable to drive a car.

Cha Yeon-Ho’s colleagues in the TCI include includes young detective Min So-Hee (Kwak Sun-Young), veteran crime-fighter Woo Dong-Ki (Lee Ho-Cheol), who’s also the founder of TCI, car specialist Eo Hyun-Kyung (Moon-Hee), and Jung Chae-Man (Heo Sung-Tae), the youngest member of the team.
