The Disney Plus UK original forthcoming series titled ‘Culprits’ has inducted Gemma Arterton, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, and Niamh Algar amongst the principal cast members for the show alongside its confirmed lead Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Misfits, Utopia). Besides, Kamel El Basha, Tara Abboud, Kevin Vidal, Ned Dennehy, and Eddie Izzard will also feature in the Disney+ series, which has already commenced its filming schedule.
Created by J Blakeson, the show’s premise seems quite intriguing. Being touted as a darkly comic heist series, the story is about a heist crew who end up being targeted by an unknown killer as they split up after executing a heist. The show has been set in an eight episodes format and has been directed by J Blakeson and Claire Oakley.
J Blakeson, who had previously helmed ‘The Disappearance of Alice Creed’ movie and ‘Gunpowder’ series, has directed five episodes for Disney+ show ‘Culprits’. On the other hand, Claire Oakley, who has earlier directed a mystery thriller film titled ‘Make Up’, has directed the remaining three episodes of ‘Culprits’.
The show’s cast member Gemma Arterton had featured as the Bond Girl in the Daniel Craig starrer actioner ‘Quantum of Solace’ besides starring in films like ‘Prince of Persia: Sands of Time’, ‘Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters’, ‘The Girl With All The Gifts’, and most recently ‘The King’s Man’.
While British actress Kirby Howell-Baptiste had been a part of projects such as ‘Killing Eve’, ‘Barry’, ‘Veronica Mars’, and ‘The Good Place’. Moreover, Irish actress Niamh Algar was seen in British drama series ‘The Virtues’, sci-fi show ‘Raised by Wolves’, and in Guy Ritchie’s heist thriller ‘Wrath of Man’ co-starring Jason Statham.
