Disney Plus Hotstar is pulling out all the stops to help its subscribers and fans make the most of the IPL 2020. We all know that the IPL tourney will take place in UAE this year. To help fans back home in India enjoy the cricket spectacle, and to make it an immersive experience for the viewers watching from home, Disney Plus Hotstar VIP has added a new feature to the interactive Watch’N Play social feed.
The Watch’N Play is a social feed that allows fans to cheer for their teams and post their excitement while watching matches ‘Live’ on their devices.
Fans can join a virtual community that will allow them to enjoy the cricket matches with their friends and fellow cricket lovers in real time. They can share selfies and videos in the community, just like they would do while watching the match live in a stadium. Called ‘Dream11 IPL 2020’, this feature is available to the VIP and Premium category of subscribers of Disney Plus Hotstar.
Selfies on the virtual community are labelled ‘Hotshots’, and the video feature is called ‘Duets’. Fans can create customised videos featuring them recreating famous shots of their cricket heroes. The best videos will be featured on Star Sports.
The newly added features will enable cricket lovers to get involved with the action taking place on the cricket field in the best way possible under the circumstances.
IPL 2020 kicks off on September 19, with the first match seeing Mumbai Indians and CSK facing off against each other. The matches will be streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar VIP. Viewers need to have a subscription for Disney Plus Hotstar VIP/Premium to watch the matches.
