After nearly a three-year-long wait, we have finally received the release date of the highly-anticipated X-Men ‘97 Disney+ series. Marvel Studios announced the show back in November 2021.
According to the rumours online, X-Men ‘97 was not supposed to air on the Disney+ streaming platform until April. However, the latest update from Empire Magazine has confirmed that the show will come out on March 20.
The upcoming series will become the first X-Men project from Marvel Studios since they regained the rights to the franchise’s characters from 20th Century Fox. The production house confirmed at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con panel that the project would be a part of the ‘Marvel Animated Multiverse’.

The development of X-Men ‘97 Season 2 is also underway. The writing for the finale of the sophomore entry commenced back in July 2023.
The announcement of the show’s release date has come at a perfect time, considering the latest release of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ trailer, which has become the most-viewed trailer in the first 24 hours of release, racking up over 365 million views.
Created by Beau DeMayo, X-Men ‘97 stars Ray Chase, Jennifer Hale, Lenore Zahn, George Buza, Christopher Britton, Cal Dodd, Matthew Waterson, and more. The series will arrive on the Disney+ streaming service on March 20. Stay tuned for more updates.
