Streaming giant Disney+Hotstar has acquired the streaming rights of Ravi Teja starrer ‘Khiladi‘, post the film’s theatrical release. Also starring Dimple Hayathi, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Arjun Sarja and Unni Mukundan in the lead, the film is helmed by Ramesh Varma (of ‘Rakshasudu’ fame) and jointly produced by Koneru Satyanarayana and Varma under the banner ‘A Studios LLP’. The action-crime thriller is currently in its last leg of shoot and is expected to be completed soon. The makers have assured fans and theatre owners that the film will definitely first be out in theaters only.
Apparently, there was a delay in the schedule of the film’s shoot since earlier, a couple of songs were to be filmed in Dubai, but later on got canceled due to the ongoing flight and visa issues in the country. The songs were then filmed in Hyderabad itself. Speaking about this situation director Varma had earlier said, “We have been waiting for the ticketing to be opened to Dubai, and looks like that may happen in the first week of August. But we are not sure how many of the crew will get visas. So, we will only shoot a few scenes of the protagonist there, as his character is set in Dubai”.
The film’s first single announcement is due tomorrow and as per reports, the title track has been sung by none other than Ravi Teja himself! Director Ramesh Varma took to social media earlier today to share the update and fans can’t wait for the song. ‘Khiladi’ will see lead actor Teja playing a double role in what will be his 67th film. Apart from this film, actor Teja also has debutant director Sarath Mandava’s ‘Rama Rao on Duty’, comedy thriller ‘RT 69’ and filmmaker Maruthi’s next comedy.
