Marvel Cinematic Universe’s collaboration with the Disney+ streaming platform has yielded several superhero shows. So far, we have witnessed WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, What If…?, Loki, Moon Knight, Hawkeye, Ms Marvel, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, and the latest concluded Secret Invasion. Fans are yet to get a second season of any project. Though, this scenario will change after the arrival of Loki Season 2 in early October this year.
Speaking of second seasons, Secret Invasion may get a sophomore entry, too, in future. Helmer Ali Selim believes the show could continue running on the Disney+ streaming service.
In his recent interview with SFX Magazine, Selim teased the possibility of Secret Invasion Season 2. Here’s what he said:
“There are some characters that are no longer with us and some characters that live to see another challenge. I would love to see that challenge become Season 2.”
Fans’ reaction to ‘Secret Invasion’ has been mixed so far, though the finale has received a much better audience reception than the remaining episodes. Comic book nerds know that Secret Invasion is a much larger story than what was shown on the Disney+ streaming service. Brian Michael Bendis’ comic book focuses on the likes of Wolverine, Captain America, Iron Man, and more. It also discloses that many superheroes, including Black Bolt and Elektra, are actually Skrulls.
The biggest Skrull reveal in Disney+’s Secret Invasion is that of James “Rhodey” Rhodes, aka War Machine, who has lived many years on Earth as a shape-shifting alien.
