Do Not Miss This Beautiful Historical Anthology On Netflix!

If you are looking for a good watch to enjoy your weekend, here is a nice recommendation. ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’ came out in 2018 and was directed by the famous Coen brothers.

It is a collection of 5 short films titled: ‘The Ballad of Buster Scruggs’, ‘The Mortal Remains’, ‘The Gal Who Got Rattled’, ‘Meal Ticket’, ‘All Gold Canyon’ and ‘Near Algodones’. The films are adapted from stories by authors like Jack London, Stewart Edward White etc.

Very few anthologies are made so that the stories and the interrelation between them actually make sense. Buster Scruggs is one of them. The movies are based on the background of the civil war. The movie stars actors like Tyne Daly, James Franco, Brendan Gleeson, Bill Heck, Grainger Hines, Zoe Kazan, Harry Melling, Liam Neeson, Tim Blake Nelson, Jonjo O’Neill and Chelcie Ross.

The cinematography is handled by Bruno Delbonnel and the music was given by Carter Burwell. The short films are connected with the theme of life and suffering in America in the 19th century in the gruesome after-effects of the Civil War.
