There is no shortage of movies that can heat you up, but a lot of them are really cringeworthy and do not have anything else than steamy scenes to turn you on. Most erotic movies do not even have a basic storyline. But ‘Lady chatterley’s Lover‘ is an exception. You can rely on the story because it is adapted from the novel of the same name by D.H Lawrence.
The film came out last year and it is directed by filmmaker Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre. The screenplay is written by David Magee.
The film stars actors like Emma Corrin, Jack O’Connell, Matthew Duckett, Ella Hunt, Faye Marsay and Joely Richardson and tells the story of an aristocratic woman who falls out of love with her husband. Lady Chatterley does not find her husband attractive anymore after the war injured man comes back home. She soon starts an affair with the gamekeeper of their estate and discovers passion and intimacy in a totally different way. She seeks happiness and love from the man she loves and breaks away all social regulations one day.
The cinematography is handled by Benoît Delhomme and the editing is done by Géraldine Mangenot and Nina Annan. The music for the film is composed by Isabella Summers. The novel is adapted often by filmmakers but some critics called this adaptation the most accurate one.
