Doctor Strange 2 Finally Gets a PG-13 Rating!

The most anticipated movie of Marvel in 2022, “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” has revealed the rating of the movie. The Motion Picture Association has given the movie PG-13 rating because of its “intense sequences of violence and action, frightening images, and some language.” The Sam Raimi movie was expected to have a much more brutal rating since the trailer shows some spooky and intense sequences.

The MCU fandom has different take on this rating since they expected a TV-14 or higher rating. And the director of Doctor Strange 2 Sam Raimi who revealed this movie will be the first horror movie in Marvel in an interview earlier, also skyrocketed the expectations of fans on the rating. Sam Raimi is also famous for his horror movies. But since the rating is official they will have to accept the reality

But it doesn’t mean the movie will be bad if it has a PG-13 rating .The groundbreaking “Batman 2022” of Matt Reeves has proved the point that it is still possible to make brutal movies within the boundary of PG-13 rating. Fans are hoping for some similar kind of approach to Multiverse of Madness. Because the trailers and other TV spots have promised fans that this movie won’t be a normal Marvel movie, but an experience which fans have never seen in MCU before.

It is clear that Marvel is trying something new by introducing some horror elements in MCU and the foundation is being set on the ongoing series “Moon Knight” which also has some really scary moments.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will reach exclusively in theaters on May 4th 2022.
